Obama wins! - Greg the dogsitter - 11-04-2008 15-6, Dixville Notch, New Hampshire. Re: Obama wins! - karsen - 11-04-2008 So it's all over? They have 75 residents, do they close the polls early? Re: Obama wins! - Greg the dogsitter - 11-04-2008 I think the polls open, everyone votes at once, then the polls close. Re: Obama wins! - karsen - 11-04-2008 Interesting, I thought the poll closing times were regulated. Re: Obama wins! - Greg the dogsitter - 11-04-2008 Well, once you know that all registered voters have voted...what's it matter? :-) Re: Obama wins! - $tevie - 11-04-2008 Dixville Notch, a village in New Hampshire's northeast corner, will begin voting at the stroke of 12 a.m. ET Tuesday, and the ballots won't take long to tally: Dixville Notch only has about 20 registered voters. http://www.cnn.com/2008/POLITICS/11/03/dixville.notch/?iref=hpmostpop Re: Obama wins! - karsen - 11-04-2008 It seems highly unfair for McCain. I think most of his supporters are asleep right now. Around here the over 80 crowd is in bed by 7:30 pm and up at 5 am to power walk. They'd entirely miss the voting action in Dixville Notch. On the flip side, how many Obama supporters would make it out to vote if the polls opened at 7 am and closed at 7:30 am? Those stoner kids don't even roll out of bed until after noon! Re: Obama wins! - karsen - 11-04-2008 Wow, 21 registered voters. You could really make some enemies in that small town if you chose to wait to vote until 7 pm today!
