Obama's Birth Certificate Redux - Not for the Liberal faint of heart - swampy - 11-24-2008 If you are a left leaner, you can ignore this topic, or not. I know all your arguments so don't feel obliged to rehash them. I post this as a service to those who question or are following the Obama Birth Certificate issue. http://politicalpistachio.blogspot.com/2008/11/why-is-obamas-birth-certificate-still.html (hint let the stream load then click in at about 17:00 minutes) I found this radio blog very informative regarding the Obama birth certificate issue. I did not know this, but apparently there are 17 suits in 17 states on this issue, yet the only place you find mention of the issue is in the blogosphere. The media (right and left) has not touched it. Even the Alan Keyes suit is not covered and he has "standing" in that he has two electoral votes so has a vested interest. No matter which side you fall on, you have to wonder why the media is reluctant to even mention what could be the biggest Constitutional Issue in 100 years. The whole issue is bigger than political parties. It is a Constitutional question. This radio blog raises questions about Obama's Indonesian passport (which leads to a question of dual citizenship). It also points out that although the Hawaiian Health Department said there was a Birth Certificate on file, it did not say that it was a Hawaiian birth certificate (leaving open the possibility that he could have been born somewhere else and filed a birth certificate from another country, which his mother had, legally, up to a year to do). Judge Souter, Supreme Court, has accepted, on appeal, the case filed in NJ and dismissed by that lower court. This tells me that at least one of the 'Supremes' recognizes there is standing for the case and the potential for a Constitutional crisis. Obama, and his team of lawyers, must produce the vault copy on December 1. It also explains why Obama cannot argue that the 14th amendment overrides the 2nd amendment and that only the Supreme Court can make such a ruling. The radio blog discusses the possible ramifications if the Supreme Court rules Obama ineligible either before or after 1/20/09. If the court finds against Obama, McCain would be the only eligible presidential candidate for the electoral college (or the Congress for that matter) to choose from, and that Obama, and any who knew of a decption could be arrested and possibly tried for treason. Also that, should the case not be resolved until after an inauguration of Obama as POTUS, any acts, legislation or treaties that he signs would be invalid. So, you see why this is such a HUGE issue and why Americans should be be informed. There is only one way that Obama can stop all this and that is to present to the Supreme Court a vault copy of his birth certificate. Which still poses the question, why has he not done so to-date? The only logical reason I can think of is that there is something about that certificate that would disqualify him. (One of the participants on the radio show was "Texas Darlin" http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/ (Dr. Kate) a Democrat, who has been researching this issue for almost a year. Her Torjan Horse article http://texasdarlin.wordpress.com/2008/09/21/the-trojan-candidate/ is excellent backgound material on Obama.)
