Macbook Screen Dying? Or is This A Case Of The Dreaded Kid Damage?? - chopper - 11-26-2008 My youngest child (1.5) is fascinated by my computer and he'll do nearly anything to get close to it so he can pound on the keys etc. Well, yesterday he did something to my Macbook which has really changed the display. When the machine boots, the screen looks normal for just a moment and then the contrast cranks up big time making the screen really hard to look at. Now all the programs are so goofy they look like they're being displayed in b&w. I have looked around for a "contrast" setting for the screen but have found nothing. Is there a setting for this? I wonder if he didn't damage the screen somehow. Tried to adjust "brightness"; no joy. Re: Macbook Screen Dying?
