Ok, maybe this is old...and only marginally useful, but I thought it was kinda cool
In the spotlight search field, if you type in a mathematical equation, the result is the first search term. No spaces, though...

Nifty. I was aware of the Google tip, but didn't have a clue about Spotlight having this feature.
