Airport Parking Deals for 2 weeks at SFO? - Can you help? - Ken Sp. - 12-04-2008

I am looking for anyone that knows about any good deals for a safe location to park my car at SFO.

I need to park a car at SFO Airport for 16 Days. Luckily it is not during Christmas week.

We usually spend a night at one of the airport hotels and get the parking included with the room. We are flying in the late afternoon and evening, so there is no compelling reason to book a room.

Any ideas are welcome-Thanks

the room may be cheaper than parking.

Do you live in the SF area or are you coming in from another location? If you live in the area, a car service or limo might be cheaper than driving yourself and leaving your car.

I live in Chicago and even the cheapest places run $8-10 per day and they are quite a ways from the airport. Most of them run shuttles, but it will easily tack on 1/2 hr to 45 minutes to your preflight routine.

I live in Sacramento, about 90 minutes away.

Thanks anyway,

I have found parking for $8/day but I just wondered if there were some secret spot somebody knows about.

$8 a day is pretty good. That's what i pay up here in Seattle for outside airport parking. Maybe they have a weekly rate, or will cut you a deal.

Capitol Corridor to Richmond, CA (Intermodal station), BART to SFO?

Thanks--Good thought, but too much luggage and my 84 year old mother might not be the right mix-LOL

It may be cheaper just to book the room, take the trip, and then pay the late cancellation fee for the room (or even just tell 'em to keep the price of the room).

Not to mention that many of the hotel lots have better security than the airport lots.

I've done the hotel room and limo/car service.

Some of the car service that run vans instead of stretch hummers are rather a good deal.
Nice being dropped off and picked up right in front. I've paid as little as 75 bucks each way to Boston (one hour ride) and Providence (45 minute ride).
(Course, you're not coming back to a foot or more of snow on your car, either :-) )

lots of the various shuttle services charge by the person. So 4 people on a 2 week vacation it is way cheaper to drive and pay for parking. At least for me. 2 people for 2 weeks is about a break even. But I don't waste a lot of time when i drive myself.
