MacPro New Drive Help - Scooter - 12-04-2008
Just got a new Sony DVD drive for my MacPro. Install went smooth (or so I thought). Drive is recognized...but when it trys to eject it gets stuck in the MacPro opening. Has anyone dealt with this?

Take the front tray door off of the Sony drive.

worked out great....except this sony drive is waaay noisy compared to the stock pioneer.

They fixed it so it only goes 35 MPH now.
Has nothing to do with noise.
The reason Apple speed limits their OEM drives is for the vertically mounted iMac optical drives.
It effects all the OEM optical drives in the same family.
Everyone gets punished!!
