Fringe - mrthuse - 12-08-2008

Haven't heard anything from the membership recently. Original posts indicate a less than interested viewership for the show. Any changes? Anyone still watching?

Re: Fringe - NewtonMP2100 - 12-08-2008

. . .I don't think it is great but not bad either. . .I would say mediocre. . .the only thing keeping me watching is the usually J.J. Abrams stuff. . .

Re: Fringe - MacMagus - 12-08-2008

If you ignore everything else, it's an engaging light drama about the seduction of an attractive intelligent woman by a professional scam artist who may have a softer human side.

Unfortunately, it's got that "everything else" bogging it down.

What a piece of cr@p.

Great show.

I've been watching every episode and loving it. Torv, Jackson, and Noble (last and not least) make for a great mini-ensemble.

Walter is great. Bishop really gives some character to him. It always cracks me up to hear Walter call Astrid by something different every time.

The relationship between Walter and Peter is well done and is probably the best part for me.

The whole Broyles/Sharp/Scott thing is old, and I feel like we're going to get jerked around for the sake of it, alá X-Files.

I really don't want to be Lost with this show.

That Walterisms site is pretty funny, all stuff that made me laugh OUT LOUD when I saw it in the episodes. The site itself is pretty badly formatted, but still fun.

The only Fringe I've ever heard of was this:

The season's over? - RAMd®d - 12-08-2008

I *think* the show on last Tuesday was the last for this season!

And it's odd for me to hear Noble speak with his native Aussie accent. And he's a pretty gracious guy.

. . how are they still able to offer "limited commercials?". . .

I agree. Noble must think he's died and gone to actor heaven to get such a great role. Going on and on sounding perfectly rational and then spout out something batsh!t crazy. Anna Torv needs to dye her eyebrows. She's cute when she smiles but when she's serious, the lack of eyebrows makes her look like mid-70s David Bowie. But Jasika Nicole is the real cutie on the show. *sigh*
