F**K I hate Adobe. Just found out that CS2 won't activate in Leopard and Adobe won't do ANYTHING about it.
We b*#ch about Steve making our 8-year old computers obsolete with each OS upgrade, but completely abandoning software that you could purchase just 4 years ago is ridiculous!
I hate Adobe even more than I did before, and the worse thing is there is NOT other software out there that I can use.

Ok, I'm reading reports of people getting CS2 working on Leopard... how'd you do it. Adobe tells me it can't be done and won't give me an authorization Code for activiation. I'm seeing reports from Stephanie, papercup and blooz that they got it up and running on the Leopard drive. The trial worked fine, but its expired and I need to activate it now.

I never installed CS2 under Leopard. It was installed on my G5 tower and Macbook Pro under 10.4 and when I upgraded to 10.5, I migrated my account and all apps. I wasn't even aware there was a problem installing it under 10.5.

I didn't install it fresh, I used Migration Assistance.

I had CS2 and CS on my old machine running 10.4 and when I migrated everything to my new iMac with 10.5 only CS worked. I tried running the program to generate a new authorization code but it would not work. I assumed it was because it came from Thailand, although so did CS and it worked fine. The problem was CS can't handle the RAW output from my XSi and could not be upgraded (but CS2 could be). I got a friend on faculty to buy me a ed. copy of CS4 Ex and now its all good, but I'm out $299.

I also had CS2 running on 10.4.9 then upgraded to Leopard with no trouble—with Adobe, anyway. Leopard itself gave me a few grey hairs.
