Interesting story.

It's spelled "Saddam". WTF, are you learning impaired or something? It would explain a lot.

Cut her some slack. Remember $tevie, she's a fan of the functionally illiterate Palin.

That's the claim, but until it's been verified by the full Supreme Court there will be lingering doubts.

It seems to me that swampy misspells the name of pretty much everybody he/she doesn't like. I think it's simply a sign of disrespect (a pretty dumb one if you ask me, since it makes her look like a dope), not an error.

Re: The guy who captured Sadam - Gutenberg - 12-12-2008

Excerpt from story:

"Through careful triangulation and the targeted renditions of low-level drivers and bodyguards — about 32 relatively unknown characters, none of whom ever served in prominent positions in Saddam's government — a Special Operations Task Force unit was taken to the farm in Tikrit where Saddam was hiding."

You know what "targeted renditions" means, don't you? It means torture. I don't think I will celebrate the expertise of SSGT Maddox, thank you.

Re: The guy who captured Sadam - swampy - 12-12-2008

Well, excuuuuuuse me for the farking typo.

Selective editing by, Gutenberg. Convenient that you left out the next paragraph, G.

"Through careful triangulation and the targeted renditions of low-level drivers and bodyguards — about 32 relatively unknown characters, none of whom ever served in prominent positions in Saddam's government — a Special Operations Task Force unit was taken to the farm in Tikrit where Saddam was hiding.

Maddox said he never tortured anyone, mostly because he doesn't think it works."

Just be sure to make the story meet your agenda. What ever that is.

Re: The guy who captured Sadam - Gutenberg - 12-12-2008

I expect Maddox left the torture to someone else.

Re: The guy who captured Sadam - MacGurl - 12-12-2008

Personally - I was thinking that also. That he never tortured anyone, leaving the door open to infer that others may have been the ones to handle that. :dunno:
