I would not have the nerve to pull some of these antics. But I'm an online shopper 99% of the time.

I have always been a "Haggler", you're a foolish shopper if you don't.

Cars, home improvement contracts, yes, but not the little stuff.

You can get up to an additional 15% off of electronics at Microcenter just by asking a manager to mark it down. (Sales associates aren't allowed to mark down prices anymore in most of their stores, but it's worth asking an associate first if you don't know your MC's policies.)

They'll even mark down clearance items.

If they seem unwilling to mark down an item, ask them if they'll make a deal if you go for an extended warranty (so long as the warranty costs less than the discount). They get bonus pay for selling extended warranties.

Nope, it's hard to bargain with Amazon. Smile

On the big ticket stuff? Moderately, but I'm not good at it, I never have been good at it, and I hate the fact it should even be necessary. Yes, BGnR, call me a fool, but it requires a certain kind of person to haggle, and I'm not one of them. So be it. Shopping sales and price comparisons is more my style.

Considering how ridiculous Microcenter's clearance item prices are, that means you can haggle it down to only twice what it costs on eBay.

You haggle with the grocery store? With Wal-Mart and Target? With the dollar store?

Will they do it for Apple stuff?

LOL. When I was stationed in Korea, I haggled for everything. Even for the things like this that were sold in outdoor markets. The Koreans thought you were weird if you didn't make the effort to haggle.
