I have no idea what this pertains to. - wurm - 12-27-2008

For the past couple of days, when I wake up my iMac in the morning I am greeted with this on the screen.

I'm not sure what a I/F cable connection is and I don't know what "device" it's referring to. I can't dismiss it with the "OK" button because that doesn't do anything. I have to restart to get rid of it. There's a picture of a camera in that little image, but there's no camera connected, nor any media card. I've repaired permissions and that doesn't seem to make a difference. Any thoughts?

Happens to me regularly for one of my Brother 7820Ns which is actually connected by USB. Just restart the device. The message usually can't be "cleared" in that clicking "Ok" doesn't work. I just move it so far down and right on my screen that I forget it's there for the next few weeks until I restart and see it.

Thanks, all. Never even thought to google the error code. Interestingly enough, just today I finally threw out the box and packaging materials for the Brother all-in-one I just bought from Staples. I figured since it was only $30, I probably would end up keeping it. If this stupid message becomes a persistent problem, I may wish I could return it. Oh well. I downloaded the newest scanner dreiver and we'll see if that fixes things.

Thanks again.

I've never been able to figure out when this happens. Really not a big deal. Just restart the AIO. Only happens ever few weeks maybe.
