news for ebay shoppers... - hal - 12-27-2008 I spend WAY too much time on ebay... I have seen a few trends that might interest some here. Ebay is being flooded with G3 ibooks of all kinds. BIN for under $200 is quite common. GOOD NEWS: Original Airport cards are no longer in short supply! I've seen many for under $30 BIN. I suspect that many are counterfeit, but if it works, who cares... Ebay is also being flooded with cheap laptop chargers for all macs - no doubt many are super cheapies - buyer be careful. Re: news for ebay shoppers... - C(-)ris - 12-27-2008 Looks like the trends are catching up to reality. G3 iBooks shouldn't be worth more than $200, nor should airport cards be over $30. I'll add another to your list, the iSight Cameras barely reach $100 now. Down from $250+ earlier this year. Re: news for ebay shoppers... - Carnos Jax - 12-27-2008 It's amazing how it seems that things are so overpriced on eBay (even auctions seem to go for higher than they should). Don't get me wrong, since for the last couple of years I've been predominantly a seller. I've had a couple of hundred transactions of which only 2 or 3 were purchases by me (and by golly those were a good deal, like a Brother MFC-9840CDW for $520 shipped). I mean, I've had two people this year alone buy a 1.42 GHz 14" iBook G4 for $1300 each (granted they were brand new w/a full warranty from Apple)! I've sold 1TB external hard drives for up to $40 above what you could find them for at other online m merchants. Similar story on printers (except the markup was almost double what you could find online). Re: news for ebay shoppers... - incognegro - 12-28-2008 http://www.mac2sell.net/ - look up that iBook G3 and see the suggested values. |
