Fish Oil preferences? - beagledave - 01-24-2009 My cholesterol ain't what it should be. In addition to Rx, I'm looking at Omega 3 supplements. I've been taking stuff from Sams Club, but my dad swears by this stuff from Jarrow called Max DHA. Anyone have a favorite fish oil supplement? I've been taking it (4 capsules/day) for over 10 years. I've been getting a pretty good price on it from Vitacost. http://www.vitacost.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Max-DHA Re: Fish Oil preferences? - Dennis S - 01-24-2009 Carlson's is supposed to be a good brand. Fish that are high up in the food chain might contain higher levels of organic mercury. Re: Fish Oil preferences? - bazookaman - 01-25-2009 I grind up some flax seeds and add them to my daily smoothie. Could not stand the fishy taste of the fish oil. For many years they had no smell either, but my most recent batch when you open the bottle, there is a bit of a fishy odor. |
