PC doesn't see Airport wireless signal - olnacl - 01-25-2009

Here's an interesting corollary to the question I posted below about XP. While setting up the laptop, I hooked up an old Dull 4600 and plugged in my Buffalo USB wireless adapter. It sees my neighbor's wireless signal but not my Airport Extreme signal. The laptop mentioned in the earlier post, running the same OS does see the AE signal. I plugged in a Buffalo router and both computers see the Buffalo?

The AE is set to: 802.11n (802.11b/g compatible) with WPA2 Personal security.
The Buffalo is 54G with WPA security

Any ideas?

Turn off the encryption on the AE and see if the 4600 can see the AE then.

Update - I just finished installing the WinBlows 7 beta and there's no driver for my USB wireless adapter so it's a moot point. Hard wired to the router now.
