The world will love us again: another dud - Mac1337 - 02-09-2009

For 8 long years we were hammered again and again that only if Bush wasn't so arrogant the world would come to our aid. That we were once loved but we squandered world's good will. Well, it was all a lie.

[Biden did not return to Washington with any intriguing public promises of new help in Afghanistan from European leaders, like German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Nicholas Sarkozy, or on stopping Iran's nuclear program from Russia's Deputy Prime Minister Sergei Ivanov]

And get this. Promising negotiations with no preconditions apparently didn't impress anyone,

Dakota curiously expected instant hosannas from the rest of the world, after what's transpired previously.

No -Instant Hosannas were promised by our new government and other countries if he got elected.

It is all bullsh**

It's been three whole weeks, and no hosannas? I declare this administration a failure. When do we impeach?

Yeah! This should have been taken care of by now!:oldfogey:

I do agree with the timeframe allowance that is due the new administration, but they will be having the same excuses 6 months and 6 years from now. But the cabinet and plans were started months ago, not 3 weeks.

Obama was barely elected and he started putting the Change factor on the American people and off of the government (which is the opposite of his campaign mantra).

Change takes time Dakota and decocritter. I've got many friends in all parts of the world. They said the impression of the common man on the street of America changed when it became apparent Obama's was going to be President. Proof positive in my eyes already and hope for future change.

So let me ask y'all this...do you not see any warming of relations between the U. S. and major world powers?

How dare they not achieve world peace in 3 days!!!

It's that Ayers/Rev. Wright/birth certificate/Clinton-nomination/Oprah/bathing suit/dog/terrorist-fist-bump/inaugural oath/Acorn/flag-pin/website-comment-period/Rush Limbaugh/head-smack-on-Marine-One scandal all over again!

Clearly he's no different from Bush!

Impeach!

Like I said, I think they should be allowed some time. But based on what I see so far, with the election of a cabinet full of the same old criminals, and the kind of lame legislation that is getting hyped up, I am not impressed so far. I kinda wish I would not have voted for Obama at this point.
