I wonder how many forum members know about usenet groups.

Re: PSA - LOTS of Apple Service Manuals posted on Usenet - rz - 03-09-2009

probably not many. But I hope some will benefit from them.

Know about them, no longer have an active Usenet feed to the university. The feed through my home ISP filters all the binaries groups.

Usenet, the wild west of the internet.

Wouldn't be without an unfiltered feed.

Thank you Kanhef.

I have heard Verizon does not allow usenet

Re: PSA - LOTS of Apple Service Manuals posted on Usenet - Sam3 - 03-10-2009

Comcast pulled their Usenet feed. If you want it you now have to find a subscription yourself. Oh, and I never saw a rate decrease even though Comcast dropped a feature.

Nope, just the Big * groups

comp.*
humanities.*
misc.*
news.*
rec.*
sci.*
soc.*
talk.*

That leaves out the alt.* hierarchy which is where most of the binaries are, and some regional/local hierarchies.
