Can we fix the (GB) problem please? All in favor? - mikebw - 03-20-2009

You know, where the capital B followed by a closed parenthesy appears as the emoticon with the sunglasses? I think it happens enough on the forum where someone is trying to put a phrase like 500GB in parenthesis and the smiley kinda ruins it.

Anyone else agree?

please.

Personally, I wish they'd get rid of emoticons entirely. They just strike me as something AOL probably came up with.

I'm with rz (although I have used them on occasion)

I just throw an extra space before the close parenthesis and move on. Yeah, it's a bit of a PITA, but for as often as I use them, I can live with it.

No need to kill all emoticons, but parenthetical megabytes, kilobytes and gigabytes are used frequently and the B) emoticon is really really really annoying and should be changed.

The real problem is that the Smileys on this forum are discriminatory against Japanese emoticons.
