This hasn't been settled yet? - Lux Interior - 04-01-2009

I was reading about the latest inane ramblings of Minnesota Congressmoran Michele Bachmann Turner Overdrive and another article caught my attention:

I thought it was an April fools joke.

Nope, not over yet. The Coleman forces keep coming up with new theories about what ballots should be accepted or rejected every time they make no progress in catching up to Franken's narrow lead.

Another one possibly to start in my neck of the woods. Yesterday's special election for Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's 20th congressional seat left Scott Murphy, the Dem ahead of Jim Tedisco, the Repub, by 59 votes.

77,344 to 77,285 with 6000 absentee ballots that won't be all counted till April 13.

Sore Loserman.

It's just absurd. I think the plan at this point is to keep the seat empty until the next election cycle, to deny it to the Democrats. Coleman is an arse.

Pawlenty is also to blame in this fiasco. He will not certify the results and is allowing Coleman to drag it through the courts. How is this helping the citizens of Minnesota denying them representation? It's going to be a long six years till the next election. I doubt Coleman is endearing himself witht the electorate.

Fight to the death on the Senate floor, with peppy "Star Trek" music playing.
