We just switched out pooch to Rachael Ray. He likes its richness so much we have to cut down on the portion.

We ARE tempted to feed the neighbors yapping yorkie (how did you know they had one) to the Great Dane who lives down the block, but our Poms are kind of yappy too, so that wouldn't be fair.
We feed Iams Mini-chunks to the herd of chihuahuas and Pomeranians. The rat terrier eats it too, but really lusts after a diet of fresh squirrel. So far all she's gotten is a bit of squirrel tail.

Kibble, although I do always get the same brand, because my vet recommended being consistent with the food. Louie doesn't know stuff like Rachel Ray's exists.

The oldest living dog, a 21 year old female dachshund, has been feasting on human food. My grandmother's dogs lived long and well on table scrapes and mice. And here we are taking the vet's advice on dog food.

Costco Kirkland brand for kibble. every other day i mix a bit of Trader Joe's canned lamb and rice into it.
i had a sample of the Rachael Rays. Harley snarfed it up. above my budget though even if purchased from walmart.

cbelt3 ... LOL. One friend owns a yapping yorkie. Another has a yapping Pom. So I am familiar with those breeds. They are cute doggies tho'.
Most of the dog owners with whom we are acquainted use Eukanuba or IAMS.

Yep. I figure Poms and Yorkies are like the chatty tweenagers of the canine world. They just have SO much to say that it takes a long time for them to get it all out. Then they go back to their little princess beds for naps, or to watch Hannah Montana reruns.
And yes, our dogs have a variety of little Princess Beds scattered through the house. The whole pack of 7 is female. We've found our dark brown Chi snuggled up with our white Chi, looking for all the world like a Chihuahua Yin-Yang symbol. Unfortunately they woke up and started hopping for kisses before we could take a photo.
