Getting iPhoto to automatically detect new photos in the iPhone - tuqqer - 04-05-2009 When I plug my iPhone into my Mac in the office, any new iPhone photos will trigger a window asking if I want to download these to my Mac's iPhoto. This is good. But when I do the same thing with my traveling MacBook, plugging in the iPhone doesn't trigger that window and question automatically. I have to manually open iPhoto. Is there some setting that I've overlooked that would do this automatically on my MacBook? Re: Getting iPhoto to automatically detect new photos in the iPhone - The UnDoug - 04-05-2009 In Applications, look for "Image Capture." Launch it, and there is an option as to what to do when a digital camera is connected. Perhaps that's the issue. Re: Getting iPhoto to automatically detect new photos in the iPhone - Fritz - 04-05-2009 it's a setting in iPhoto. Prefs/General. Open iPhoto when connecting a camera. iPhoto will see the iPhone as a camera if this setting is clicked.
