long distance help - abevilac - 04-17-2009 My mother-in-law has just purchased a new 20" iMac to replace a lamp iMac. She wants to use migration asst. to move over stuff and I'm trying to help her [she's in NC and I'm in IN.] I'm trying to find a firewire 400 to firewire 800 cord for her and I found this at Monoprice but it doesn't look right to me. http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030104&p_id=328&seq=1&format=2 What should she get? Re: long distance help - GGD - 04-17-2009 You want the 9-Pin to 6-Pin flavor http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=103&cp_id=10301&cs_id=1030105&p_id=3542&seq=1&format=2 Re: long distance help - Ken Sp. - 04-17-2009 You can also do Migration my Ethernet now--have to load it into the older machine. Just did it on a MacBook so it should be available even for Firewire machines.
