I've been trying to find some reviews to see what the sound quality is like. I have an old turntable that I connect to my computer but this would be a lot easier.

Looks like a good price as these are usually $100+...but the 180-day wty scares me a little.

This is a piece of cr@p. You will get slightly better sound quality by holding the recording up to your ear and whistling.

Yeah, it's probably a marginal piece of gear, but vinyl ripped to digital on this device probably sounds better than vinyl not ripped to digital.
It's no doubt a compromise, but a magnetic cartridge with a decent phono amp and converter would cost a little more than $50 or so.

I wonder how this would compare to a regular player hooked up to a stereo out minijack hooked up to a Griffin iMic. Awhile back, I had to convert from audio cassette to digital via the iMic, and it worked beautifully-- I now have a high-quality digital file out of it.
