Messages in new inbox show only momentarily in Mail.... - lost in space - 05-15-2009
I just added a new account to Apple Mail. New messages get received OK and they show up in the new inbox, but if I switch to another mailbox and go back, they've disappeared. What could I have done to deserve this?

Rebuilding or reindexing the mailboxes might solve the problem, and won't hurt anything AFAIK
If you enter "rebuild" in Mails help search it will give you some details

Have you upgraded to 10.5.7 or Safari 4?

Not yet. The Apple support forums are full of questions and problems with Mail after going to 10.5.7. I'm staying with Safari 3.x for the time being.
