Acomdata Tango case? - DRR - 08-02-2009 Anyone have this case? http://www.acomdata.com/tango.asp Looking or something bus powered to put some older 160GB drives in. Plus, I'd always take fw over usb given a choice, and they're only $26 at newegg. Re: Acomdata Tango case? - deckeda - 08-02-2009 Don't have it, but for another $28 (yeah, I know ...) you could have two FW800 ports + USB. This is a rare combination of ports, especially for the money, and ultimately more speedy (if you ever RAID with another one?) than the more common FW800/FW400 + USB. It runs hot to the touch if left on all the time. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182183 Re: Acomdata Tango case? - S.Taylor - 08-02-2009 I have one of those cases. Seems like a nice case, easy install, runs cool, no problems. Yes, I would prefer FW800 too, but... Re: Acomdata Tango case? - DRR - 08-02-2009 S Taylor, no problems bus powering over firewire, right? I saw that dual FW800 case. It looks much nicer but these are just for low-use spare drives, so kind of hard to justify the extra cash! Re: Acomdata Tango case? - S.Taylor - 08-02-2009 No problems at all. It has two FW ports, one small usb port, and a port for an AC adapter (adapter not included). It came with all the cables you need too. |
