taming the color saturation in a MBP led screen - mrbigstuff - 08-02-2009 I'm happy as a clam with the new MBP but the blue text saturation (think Craigslist) is driving me nuts. Other than changing the color profile of the whole display is there a way to dial down the blue or cyan? thanks Re: taming the color saturation in a MBP led screen - richorlin - 08-02-2009 Other than make the profile a bit warmer, I don't see how you can tone down just the one color very easily. However, you can use the ColorSync utility to manually change the white-point for your profile. It woud be easier to just adjust the profile using System Preferences. Re: taming the color saturation in a MBP led screen - mattkime - 08-03-2009 its much more likely that your display is set too bright than its over saturated. the apple defaults are pretty good. Re: taming the color saturation in a MBP led screen - Rolando - 08-03-2009 When my brother bought his Glossy iMac, he was disappointed with the color "It's like a PC!" I sat next to him while he ran Colorsync (his Mac, his eyes) advanced mode. A few minutes later, he was "wow, that really pops!" It does shift colors, but he's no photo pro. |
