how to find out "about this mac" on a mac running umbuntu only? - goodmanx - 10-10-2009
i need to know how to get basic "about this mac" hardware info (processor, installed ram, installed hd, etc.) on a macbook that has only umbuntu installed. the machine is not in my possession and the owner knows a little, but likely not too much, about umbuntu.
i'll appreciate any assistance.

I don't know if the Unbuntu Mac desktop version is different but my Windows version has:
Applications>Systems Tools>SysInfo

I don't understand this 'Windows' or 'Mac' version of Linux that you speak of. The same version of Ubuntu will install on a Dell or a Mac. There's no difference.
