Ripping Chicken Little! I am having problems...help - weapon - 04-05-2006

Mtr ripped it down but gave me an error.

It is a brand new disc. Just opened the packaging.

Anyone else having these problems?

Memories of a geisha gave me the same problem.

I've seen errors where the disc worked anyway (fwiw).

Yes but after the rip, Chicken Little burns in toast (movie only) seemingly fine but when I put it in the dvd player it errors out.

When I play it on the mac dvd player it has a weird chapter in the begining that just continues to play a black screen until I force it to chapter 2.

Sounds like a Sony disc. I have gotten these to work using main feature only but there is a strange thing at the beginning where it plays for a few seconds and then starts over and plays fine.

not for me but the kids like it.

I just want to protect the original. Some of the pixar ones have seen better days...

I had the same problems. I just gave up until I get MTR 3.

Encoding. Rip different. - RAMd®d - 04-06-2006

The studios are working to keep ahead of the software developers.

Try ripping the main movie only.

Also see if you can select the ARccOS ripping option, either Full or Main Movie only. This sometimes allows for a proper rip and archive.

MTR is at 3.0 R13d, and it may be awhile before it's final.

I ran across a site with a list of movies that has various degrees of copy protection including Sony's ARccOS and bad blocks, but can't remember the name or address.
