From the "Too much information" Department - ka jowct - 11-18-2009

I'm talking about low pants. Pants worn down at the upper thigh area, which gives us the oh-so-special treat of seeing someone's ass, in boxer shorts (nearly always plaid, for some reason), if the guy happens to be wearing a short upper garment. I didn't think it could get much worse (in terms of information I'd rather not have) until yesterday, when I was waiting in the checkout line in my local supermarket, and noticed that the guy at the head of the line was wearing the low pants, the short upper garments, and a THONG.

Tell me this look is not going to catch on, and I'll hold off an preparing sharp sticks with which to poke out my eyes.

Ok, I can take the hint Ka Jowct. I will shop at a different market.

I haven't seen the thong thing but the low, baggy pants & plaid undies have been in fashion around here longer than I care to think of.

I personally think proper punishment for such offenses should be mandatory use of suspenders. That would teach 'em.

I thought that look went out 5 years ago, but just saw a teenager wearing that getup in line at the supermarket.

Maybe MC Hammer pants will make a comeback, too.

That'll be fun.

[Edit] (D'oh! No periods in "MC")

Nah, you just sneak up behind the offenders, "pants" them (quickly pull down their pants to their ankles), then give them an "atomic wedgie" (grab the rear waistband of their underwear and raise it as high as you can reach parallel to their back, ideally lifting them completely off the ground in the process) before they can bend over to pull their pants up.

And down here, in enlightened S FL, this...

Use the sharp sticks on them, not your eyes.

I would think "dude, your junk is hangin out" might help

maybe they don't know.

You know what would stop the low pants trend dead in it's tracks...if all of us older guys started doing it!!!

Just a month of seeing a bunch of 40-60 year old looking all low slung would kill the "cool" element right away.

Oh yeah around here, GIANT POLO/GOLF SHIRTS, along with long, below the knee shorts. A smashing look!

It looks like the person shrunk in the wash and not the clothes.
