Best DVD-/+ R Media Out There? - IronMac - 11-30-2009 Hi all, just been using a store brand DVD and Verbatim and as may be expected the store brand DVDs have been turning into coasters during the burn process. So, what are everyone's favorite/most reliable brands out there? Verbatim? Sony? Mitsubishi? Re: Best DVD-/+ R Media Out There? - weapon - 11-30-2009 TAIYO YUDEN. I like the water shield ones since I print labels. By far the best media. Ritek Ridata is also a good brand. Re: Best DVD-/+ R Media Out There? - Doc - 11-30-2009 Yep. TY and only TY if you want the best. Not the "valueline" media. The premium stuff. Note that their distributor is now called "JVC Advanced Media" so TY discs that you purchase hereafter may be labeled as JVC discs. This means that the numbers on the hub and the embedded Media ID Code that people check to authenticate TY media will change as well.
