Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AAA - 11-30-2009 I got my parents something like this years ago. Always interesting to see the home-captured data. http://www.buy.com/prod/thermor-bw979-bios-tv-home-weather-station/q/loc/111/213323830.html?adid=17580 ![]() Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - decocritter - 11-30-2009 seems fun Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - freeradical - 11-30-2009 It would be even nicer if it sent the data to your Mac where you could save it and play with it. Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AAA - 11-30-2009 some have data ports where you can capture it yourself. Where is that iPhone tricorder kit, anyways? Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AlphaDog - 11-30-2009 A number of years ago I bought my late husband a Davis Weather Station for Christmas. There is Mac software available that will record the data to computer, but it's pricey, so I never bought it. Typical of my timing, I bought the Davis about a year before Oregon Scientific and many others started producing less expensive units. It was kind of an expensive "toy", but he liked having it, and I've been enjoying for a number of years now, too. At least it still works! If you guys don't have something like this, treat yourselves. They're fun. Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - D-Rod - 11-30-2009 Our weather station is only 2% off! :banghead: Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AAA - 12-01-2009 Yes, I bought the Davis one, too. I was pretty pleased with it, all in all. Their customer service was also pretty good, imo. Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AlphaDog - 12-01-2009 AAA wrote: Did you ever get the software? Re: Home weather station 77% off --> $30 - AAA - 12-01-2009 No. As it was a gift and they never had a computer, there was no need. |
