Can't most video cards support a 24" monitor? - stephen - 12-19-2009

My dad has about a four year old Dell with XP. Thought about upgrading his 19 LCD to a widescreen 24.

Depends. There would be 8000 different video options your dealing with. There may be some machines that can;t hit the res for a 24" LCD

How much video memory does he have? At 24" 1920x1200, I'd recommend at least 64MB of video memory.
