Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - mattkime - 04-08-2006 YEAAAAAH!!!! I just got myself a tiBook! The hard way - I put it together and now it works! unfortunately, I didn't have any processor paste around. How important is it on this 400mhz machine? I wanna play now, but I guess I shouldn't until I get some of that stuff on the processor. Think I can find some at circuit city or radioshack? Re: Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - bangman - 04-08-2006 Hells yes at Radio Shack and CompUSA. Re: Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - blusubaru - 04-08-2006 less than $2 @ RS. Re: Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - Jimmypoo - 04-08-2006 you've got time. Don't start that machine without the heat transfer help. Re: Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - Carm - 04-09-2006 Use Artic Silver. Worked better than the radioshack stuff. Carm Re: Bucket of PowerBook into Powerbook! (Do I need processor paste?) - Racer X - 04-09-2006 Arctic Silver, the real stuff (yes, it gets counterfeited). You can get it at CompUSA BTW. don't try to run that thing without it. |
