How much would you pay for a relatively inexpensive LCD? - Numo - 01-16-2010 http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,859926,860509#msg-860509 I ordered the $80 eMachines E211H 21.5" LCD monitor deal from Staples recently http://forums.macresource.com/read.php?1,859926,860509#msg-860509 and just got around to setting it up today. Overall, it's pretty good, but maybe very slightly fuzzy. This makes me wonder what I could gain by paying a little bit more. Would spending an additional $100 or so get me a much better monitor? Would I notice substantial improvements in sharpness and/or color? Any favorites? Edit: applied the Adobe RGB color profile, which improved the picture quite a bit. Re: How much would you pay for a relatively inexpensive LCD? - AlphaDog - 01-16-2010 Well, you wouldn't even have to kick in another whole $100 and you could get this nice looking 21.5" Samsung from Costco. I'd certainly pay more for something that I use regularly and involves my eyesight. http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11377129&whse=BC&Ne=4000000&eCat=BC|84&N=4001499&Mo=5&No=3&Nr=P_CatalogName:BC&cat=1680&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&lang=en-US&Sp=C&topnav= Edit: I have no idea why my link looks like that, but it works! ![]() Re: How much would you pay for a relatively inexpensive LCD? - onthedownlow - 01-16-2010 How do you have it hooked up? VGA? It it's fuzzy...first, make sure you are using the native/optimal resolution of the LCD and also look on the LCD's menu (buttons) to see if there is an auto-adjust feature and utilize that (the auto-adjust usually takes care of fuzziness). You may also check to make sure the cables are connected tight with both the LCD and computer.
