My sentiments exactly: part the second: - $tevie - 01-20-2010 The GOP’s ability to ignore establishment nostrums in the face of defeat is its great electoral strength. Democrats, by contrast, have a congenital tendency to panic. Abandoning health care reform after they’ve already paid whatever political cost that comes from voting for it in both houses would be suicide. Even if Coakley loses, the House could pass the Senate bill as is, avoiding the need to break a filibuster, and tinker with it in a reconciliation bill that can’t be filibustered. The only thing preventing the Democrats from following through would be sheer panic. http://www.tnr.com/article/politics/panic?page=0,1 Re: My sentiments exactly: part the second: - liberals' liberal - 01-20-2010 Put a stake through its heart and shoot it twice with silver bullets to make sure it's DEAD. Wake up call to the Democrats. This is not a one-time deal. You have poked a sleeping giant and we are coming after you. Yesterday we Conservatives refused to eat the 'crap sandwich' that the Left has been trying to force feed us. As my friend The Barbarian so aptly puts it, the Left has overreached to the point of capsizing the boat and I think they are now faced with being up that proverbial creek without a paddle. That liberal "we know what's best for you" crap just doesn't flush anymore. Re: My sentiments exactly: part the second: - liberals' liberal - 01-20-2010 Massachusetts...WOW! What a great gift you have given America! It's a new morning for freedom; and a new mourning for those who would take it away. And let the light continue to grow. I awoke about 1:15 from a sound sleep and turned on the news. Slept like a baby thereafter. Thank you Massachusetts for another wonderful beginning to a new American revolution. Hard words for a Texan to say, but today "Ich bin ein Bostonian." - liberals' liberal - 01-20-2010 Massachusetts...WOW! What a great gift you have given America!
