cpap air filter question - lazydays - 03-16-2010

I'm a new cpap user and my insurance company said to order new filters every 3 months. My copay is $.87 on that item. Seems ridiculous. So should I go this route or should I buy them in bulk somewhere on the internet?

When you order a new mask and hose the filter should come with it.

Can you get them cheaper in bulk over $0.87 per item?

Have you asked your equipment provider if you can get a few extra?

As far as I know, they're both relatively cheap. You may find that your supplier will help you out with this, since they get a nice monthly payment for your CPAP machine.

Personally, I haven't felt the need to replace my HEPA filter that often and the foam filter is washable and lasts a long time.

How are you doing with using your CPAP?

It has taken me many years to finally find a mask with which I'm comfortable.
