iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - Zoidberg - 03-16-2010 ![]() Just curious, mostly. I would imagine it could, unless there's a limiter of some sort in the design. I'd like something like this just to have for occasional don't-want-to-sit-at-my-iMac email sessions. (Yeah, I know, get a cheap MacBook, etc etc etc). (You shut up.) Re: iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - prymsnap - 03-17-2010 I'm hoping the answer is "yes." Re: iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - testcase - 03-17-2010 Apple should be ashamed not letting people use Bluetooth keyboards. Its been almost two years now and my fingers still don't work well with Apple's Virtual Keyboard. Won't somebody PLEASE release a GOOD competitor for the iPhone that has a real keyboard and / or uses a stylus? Pretty please? Re: iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - Chris Y - 03-17-2010 jailbreak and then use bt stack keyboard http://keyboard.ringwald.ch/Welcome.html available from cydia. I have it and it works pretty well. Re: iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - Zoidberg - 03-17-2010 Not willing to jailbreak; company phone. Agree with testcase; however, the business model at Apple is usually: "If Steve doesn't want it no one does". Re: iPad keyboard/dock -- might this work with the iPhone? - RAMd®d - 03-17-2010 and it works pretty well. I'm betting the keyboard dock can be "made" to work with the iPhone via jailbreaking. I'd like it to work with the 'Phone out of GP, since I really don't do much writing on-the-go with it. But out of the box, I'm betting it won't. Oh, and... - RAMd®d - 03-17-2010 ...it *is* very easy for Apple to make the keyboard device-specific. How easy it is for somebody to unmake might not be as easy. Developers, Developers, DEVELOPERS?! |
