Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - volcs0 - 05-05-2010 We will be in Vegas for one night in July and want to go out for a very nice dinner. Last time, we really enjoyed Delmonico's. We were considering Nobu this time, as we've never been there. What other favorites do people have? We're looking in the $100-125 per person range... Thanks. Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - dmann - 05-05-2010 Love, love, love Nobu. My suggestion is tell the wait person what you don't like and just have them start bringing out stuff. They aren't big fans of wasabi and soy sauce, BTW. ![]() Have also had a fantastic dinner at Jean Joho's Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris. It is at the top of the tower and be sure to ask for a window table that faces the fountains at Bellagio. I haven't been there, but friends of mine raved about one of the restaurants at Wynn. Unfortunately, I don't know which one! DM Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - jimmy d - 05-05-2010 It's probably Bartolotta Ristorante di Mare at Wynn Las Vegas. Bartolotta won a James Beard Best Chef award last year. We've been to Japonais several times and loved it, but if it is very similar, then maybe we'll try something else... Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - dmann - 05-05-2010 I have only been to Japonais twice. Once was part of a group thing that had a set menu, and the second was for a couple appetizers and drinks, so I haven't had the "real" experience! Sorry I can't be more help in that area. You might want to check out Chowhound, there is tons of good info there. DM Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - August West - 05-05-2010 Not your upscale Vegas experience, but if you want excellent food prepared by an excellent chef go to Lotus of Siam. Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - Trouble - 05-05-2010 There is a pretty good McDonalds there. I suppose it is possible to get $100 per person. Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - DavidS - 05-05-2010 I highly recommend Alize' at the top of The Palms. My wife and I went there for our 10th anniversary dinner and it was fantastic. You can make reservations by phone or via OpenTable.com. Alizé Palms - 4321 W. Flamingo Rd. Las Vegas, NV, 89103 (702) 951-7000 Cuisine: French Average cost: $35 or more Payment types accepted: AMEX, VISA, MASTERCARD, DISCOVER, CASH Hours: Sunday - Thursday, 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m. Friday - Saturday, 5:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Reservations: Reservations Suggested Alizé Review: The glittery Alizé (the French word for trade wind) belongs to Chef André Rochat. In addition to one of the best views west of the Mississippi -- the restaurant is on the 56th floor of the Palms' tower -- it boasts a superb wine list, a loyal following and the creative South African Jacques Van Staden in the kitchen. Among several new interesting dishes are pan-seared foie gras with crispy duck confit and pink grapefruit, Colorado lamb with morels, English peas and goat-cheese ravioli. Re: Restaurant recommendation for Vegas needed. - ltolhurst - 05-05-2010 Volcs0 I manage the Eiffel Tower Restaurant. If you decide to dine with us I would be happy to arrange for preferred reservations and seating . Nobu is a favorite of mine as well. Let me know if I can help you with reservations at any Las Vegas restaurant as we have warm relationships with our neighbors. It's in an unassuming-looking little strip mall on the north side of the I-15. |
