How do they catch the cheaters?
#1
I am one of the many students taking an online Excel course. We could easily exchange answer keys to our assignments. How can an instructor tell the difference? Of course, it's the cheaters who will lose the knowledge.

Some of the "students" aren't students.

Perhaps, it is easy to spot someone's particular style of writing in an English Composition or even computer program course but maths (yes, there is an online math class), Excel, and the likes?

freeradical,
Are you saying there are online 'secret shoppers'?

If you think others are cheating, that places you in a tough moral position. You can either cheat with them and get the good grades they receive, or you can do your own work and risk getting a lower grade.

Nothing can save you from facing this difficult choice.

If you do your own work, though, you have something real, and you live with the relative simplicity of truth.

If you join the cheaters, you have something unreal, and you enter a world of lies, concealment, pretense, social pressure, and fear of exposure.

Sometimes living the truth appears to cost more than living a lie. It can certainly be more uncomfortable.

But if you decide to pay the cost of living the truth, your life will become simpler, deeper, and more solid.

You have to keep deciding whether that is worth doing.
