All the people outraged about the Mississippi bill to rename the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America" have missed its satirical intent, the sponsor said Thursday.
It's hard to tell if something is satire in today's climate. I was reading something on a site for "US Christian Ministries" the other day. I was sure it was another satire site like Landover Baptist. I never found out. Satire has that one part that is a little bit too much. This bill did not have that. He should have added, "All sea going vessels must pledge allegiance to the USA upon entering this body of water, or else be boarded, seized & converted to Christianity by the US Coast Guard." Nope. Still too believable.

Ohio Governor was overheard yesterday in a speech saying "And I like it when we bring jobs from foreign countries into Ohio."
He was referring to a company in Baltimore, Maryland that is being moved to the Cleveland area. Immediately after that quip he did say "I know Baltimore is in Maryland. It was a joke." The media did not include that statement  Fair and Unbiased my TUSH ! :booty:

Difficult to tell. I checked, and it was on the Mississippi state legislature website. There was nothing to suggest satire at all, given the goofy bills introduced in the Deep South recently. Like the Alabama immigration law.
