Need this cable! Help find name & source for round 9-pin on back of computer speakers
#1
I inherited a set of computer speakers (2 small and one subwoofer). It's all there, except this cable that connects from the back of the subwoofer to what I think would be the audio out port on the Mac.

I'm having troubles figuring out the name of this kind of cable, and where I would buy it.

Is anyone good at figuring out what this is?

I think that's a DIN connector, of which there are many variants.

Here's the product page

And here's the user manual

Are you sure you have all of the pieces, looks like there's a control module (pages 6 and 7) that the speakers plug into, and that is what the computer connects to.

Doesn't seem like there's a direct speaker to computer cable.

And the type of connector in your picture is probably a Mini DIN-9.

Crap. You're right. It's missing the whole controller, not just the wire. Dang.

Ok, looks like this will go to Goodwill...

Thanks, all.

Thread over.

thanks for that Amazon link, Deckeda. I may spring for the exact same system. It's actually a really good sound from this set. Amazing that they can sell it for below $40.

Appreciate it.

I'm still stuck on the fact that there's a DIN connector on the back of a speaker.
Sometimes the world just makes sense.

Might check to see if you can pick up the controller off of eBay before ditching the entire system.
