"Chris Christie watched his political career end this week"
#1
I think that all of us can agree that getting Christie out of the news and out of our lives is a good thing.

Christie's political career was probably over the second he endorsed Trump. Or maybe when he decided to go fully into Trump world as a transparent attempt to curry favor for a potential cabinet post. But the Bridgegate trial seals it: Christie has no future in Republican Party politics. Unless, of course, Trump wins on Tuesday — a possible but far from likely prospect.

Chris Christie, for watching your political career get caught in a traffic snarl, you had the Worst Week in Washington. Congrats, or something.

Five years ago Christie did something that I gave him a lot of respect for, but he's changed a lot since then. Really worth watching the whole thing.

I prefer the closer-to-home title of "Jersey Thug Finally Gets Payback."

Newt Gingrich is still in politics and making a fortune at it.

So, as history has shown, no scandal is too big. He can trade on the same old BS for decades to come and there will always be people lining up to buy it.

Now that I think about it, that might well have been the only move he had left. He KNEW how the trial would play out - he knows these people, so he was finished... unless he could hop on the Trump train and get himself a nice juicy pardon for playing his part... just maybe if everything played out perfectly he'd be a hotshot in the new Trump presidency. Trump would drop of of politics soon leaving Christie top dog.

Didn't quite work out that way...
