Not sure how accurate information is, but wife who usually orders online, then does pickup, was having trouble enough with her Starbucks app that she called them. SB says they are having major problems with IOS 11. How accurate that is, I don't know. Granddaughters app works fine.

They have lots of problems with mobile orders. Sometimes it's shop level - like they aren't "turned on", other times it's application level. Never seen a problem at the iOS level, though.
They're just unable to fix whatever problems they're having with their app. It's like they can't leave it alone. Always trying to add some new "functionality" that ends up breaking several others.
FWIW, she could just completely get rid of the app, restart, reload from the cloud, restart, and try again. Sometimes that'll snap the app out of whatever funk it's in, but just as often it'll work for a day or two and then revert. Their support is no help either unless they can solve it with a free drink or 50 stars. They're completely disconnected from the app side, so they really don't know what's going on.

Funny you should mention it, during her call they gave her 25 starts.
I will delete, and reload, and see what happens when she slows down enough for me to touch her phone.

I know it doesnt really help, but no problems here on my wifes iPhone 7.
Whenever we have had an issue, Ive always just deleted & reinstalled as a fix -- but its been years since I have had to.
