selling a bunch of old typewriter correction ribbons. WHERE?
#1
OK, I have a bunch of brand spankin' new typewriter ribbons that I was tasked with getting rid of (selling or otherwise) a couple of months ago from my parents. They got rid of their typewriter, and no longer need the correction tape/ribbon.

I have tried selling them on ebay a couple of times with no luck, and simply haven't found anywhere else to either sell or get rid of them. I'm the kind of person that hates to throw something away, especially if it's basically brand new, and would still be usable if found by the right person.

any ideas for ways I can get rid of this stuff? I don't even care at this point if I can get any cash for it--I just want to see it get used by someone.

I should add that I'm not near a major metro area, so craigslist probably wouldn't be an option.

thanks

They don't have a post office in your town?

Have you tried Googling "typewriter collectors"

How about Goodwill or Salvation Army. They always use old machines in their offices..or a church usually has old stuff around.

Probably the same ones I just threw the electric typewriter out because we couldn't find ribbons for it anymore. :-)

I was in a tossing , get rid of stuff mood.

*and someone took it out of the trash. Good luck.

Oooh, I have an old typewriter from a friend that may need ribbons! Do you still have those and if so, what brand/kind are they? I'll check my typewriter for the model...
