Isn't kidnapping still a Federal crime?
#1
Then how much longer is it gonna take DOJ to indict Abbott and DeathSantis?

Just a prank, bro. Liberals have no sense of humor.

I think that deliberately deceiving them to engage in human trafficking is closer to the real situation.

A few more details about the kidnapping:

… officials believe all of the migrants originated in Venezuela, and a local fire chief said earlier in the day that the migrants include seven families, with four children ranging from 3 to 8 years old.

How did these kids get to be dangerous felons at so young an age? They come from crime families, apparently.

Also, as noted in another thread, DeSantis promised the Cuban and Venezuelan communities in Florida all of a week ago that he would not send Cubans or Venezuelans out of the state in his shenanigans.

Secondly, a We-Build-The-Wall-style fundraising effort to pay for buses hasn’t gone so well in Texas:

Texas has solicited private donations to help pay for the cost of the bus trips, but the state had only received $167,828 as of August 17. At a news conference in April announcing the program, Abbott acknowledged taxpayers were likely to end up with part of the bill.

“Part of the bill” = 98.6%, since Texas has to date paid $12.7M to Wynne transportation to bus migrants out of the state.

Finally, the deep state apparently got involved; the Trumpian deep state:

Rachel Self, a Boston immigration attorney who was assisting with the migrants’ cases… said the migrants were intentionally used to create chaos and crisis, as no government agency or humanitarian organization was alerted about the group’s arrival in Martha’s Vineyard. Self said the problem was exacerbated when officials with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security allegedly falsified addresses on the migrants’ immigration paperwork, and said they could change them upon arriving in Massachusetts.

“Agents apparently chose random homeless shelters all across the country from Washington to Florida, to list the migrants’ mailing addresses, even when told by the migrants that they had no address in the U.S.,” Self claimed.

The group of migrants, Self said, were being asked to appear in jurisdictions near homeless shelters all across the country as early as next Monday. She said the migrants were essentially “kidnapped.”

Someone at DHS ought to see that heads roll over this.

Or it should be determined if there actually were DHS officials involved or was it persons falsely identifying themselves as federal officials. The second is federal offense, would have to go looking to see what the potential sentence for that would be.

DeSantis is justifying it because the migrants might have wanted to come to Florida. The state legislature gave him $12 million and he intends to use it.

The flights cost the state of Florida $615,000 or $15k per migrant. That is enough to keep each one for at least 6 months. Of course, that would not have been cruel or grabbed the headlines.

Biden needs to take the costs out of TX and FL ICE budget. Pull the ICE Patrols to the Northern Border of Florida.

I’m surprised the families with children were not split up and the kids sent thousands of miles away from the parents. That would seem more in line with the cruelty of Trumpist politicians.

Wait until winter, those two will drop off refugees in the middle of the night with no jackets.
