Commie Rag NY Post continues the attacks against (Traitor) Trump

Memo to Donald Trump: Stop the threats of violence
https://nypost.com/2022/09/16/memo-to-do...-violence/

Nice country you have there; shame if anything happened to it.

Donald Trump said this week that if he was indicted for taking classified materials, “I think you’d have problems in this country the likes of which perhaps we’ve never seen before. . . . It would tear this country apart.”

How reprehensible. How deeply irresponsible.

Just as he did on Jan. 6, 2021, Trump is stirring up the more radical elements of his base, then claiming he’s just making an observation. He knows words have consequences, especially those of a former president.

Note how it echoes his speech that day: “We fight like hell. And if you don’t fight like hell, you’re not going to have a country anymore,” an exhortation that preceded the attack on the Capitol.

If Trump truly cared about “law and order” as he claims, if his criticisms of Antifa and the anti-cop riots are to have any credibility, he would not suggest that his followers will tear the nation apart. But he doesn’t. Trump has again and again put self-interest over country.

Trump has $100 million saved up in a political action committee; he can afford to fight the case. If he’s indicted, he’ll have his day in court. That’s how it works. Think the Justice Department is biased? Say so. Believe there’s a double standard? Argue it.

But stop making threats of violence.

Post readers don't read editorials; they do buy front pages:

As a retired journalist, I am disgusted by the lie the Post is pushing.

They may have at one time but now the Post employs propagandists, not journalists.

In some of the political ads the GOP is running, they make some outrageous claim about the Dem candidate, and in small type at the bottom, cite their source - NY Post.

Confusedmiley-laughing001:

They might as well say One America News, or National Enquirer.

I’m glad to be on the side that has decent newspapers.

They are keeping up the drumbeat about 'hunter's laptop' as well.

The Post ceased to become a real newspaper when Rupert Murdoch bought it in 1976.

My father in law was spouting political absurdities at his last visit. I told him he needs to get his info from reliable sources, not propaganda rags. He said “It was in a New York paper. It’s not propaganda, it’s a New York paper.” “New York Post?”I asked. “Yes. The New York Post is a New York paper. Very reliable.”

He’s coming to visit in two weeks. Yay.
It’s an exhausting effort not to channel Mike Stivic when he visits.

They used to have a decent comics spread. Went away in 2014.

That was the last content they had with any substance to it.
