TLDR: teachers are leaving red states in droves.

The book bans are so stupid and pointless. A handful of bigoted, uptight control freaks are dictating for an entire state what materials can be placed in school libraries.  Then heaven help the teacher who refers to these books, some of which are considered literary classics.

I have a t-shirt that says "Read Banned Books."  Gets a lot of smiles.

K-12 teachers need our support more than ever so if you know one, be sure to thank her.

Thanks for the link to the article.  I sent it to my son who is a public high school teacher in Texas.
Saint Cloud, Minnesota, where the weather is wonderful even when it isn't.

It is of course deliberate, coupled with imposing fascist rules rewriting history, imposing religion, and replacing public education with religious instruction.

Slaves don’t need no education.

78% of k-12 teachers in the US are women.
I make no apologies for "her."
We are doing the heavy lifting for children. Men need to step up.
