Tell him to get his own computer. You're not his mother. Problem solved.
Also, you have no idea what he'll be up to on "his own account" on your computer. Do you really want to be responsible?

I certainly wouldn't have a roommate I couldn't trust to respect that which belongs to me. Nor should I need to go through hoops to try to hide all of my stuff. My home is my sanctuary. Let him use it. Just give him an account and take your other drives offline (if they're external). If the drives are internal, then select all and place it all in a folder called "do not peek."

Not to get too paranoid in this particular situation, but if someone was doing something illegal on the internet from your computer, is it possible that you could you be blamed for it? For example, I've heard about the FBI confiscating computers of suspected internet crooks or pornographers. There must be some way to trace who is doing what on the internet.
