I searched and couldn't find this topic.
When I email someone photos, I like to keep track of the total size of the attachments. I cannot figure out how to do that in Mt. Lion Mail.
Am I overlooking something? Or is that just not supported in 10.8?

ML hides all sorts of computer info like available capacity on hard drives, etc. I've had to use get info more often in ML this last month than I can recall my entire time with SL.

You have to do that manually. Get the size before attaching. Maybe Quicklook will give it to you.

Size appears in the status line where you can select the image size (e.g., small, medium, large, actual size) right below the To/From/Subject headings. Don't think I did anything special to get that.

Could you post a screen shot of that?
I do not see such an option on my Mt Lion mail.
Thanks,
Phy

Thanks, Meg!
I finally worked that out myself, but It took me a long time...
You did help by pointing the place to look.
Gratefully,
Phy
