Yup. There is a lot of BS surrounding high value commodities like iPhones on Craigslist and eBay. This is a prime example.

Item is always my first tip off.

Hi, is your item still available?

I need the condition of the item.

Please assure me the item is in very good condition as I am going to send it as a gift to my son/daughter who is building an orphanage in that country where the hurricane/tsunami/Republican Convention was.

Please cancel your ad and consider the item sold.

It's entertaining to a point, and usually I send back a response correcting the grammar and asking how things are in Nigeria, or do they REALLY make money at this?

There certainly are sheep that would believe the 'hurricane/tsunami/Republican Convention' hyperbole.

If you're genuinely asking whether this communication is from a legitimate buyer -- I'd stay away from craigslist.
