My Mom
#21
Thank you for sharing. Some day, my time for this will come. It will be the hardest thing for me, I think.

I have an acquaintance who is a Facebook friend. She volunteers to sit with dying people and talk with them, and spend time with them, while they pass. It's amazing to read the things she shares. And she's a volunteer, it's not even her job. She says she learns so much from each of them. She's really grounded and generous.

D, yes..the volunteers were awesome..they'd come in and just sit..hold hands with her, put lotion on her skin..they had a classical guitarist who would come and play around the unit..the guy was so good..really pleasant to have him in the room a couple of times.

Everyone..yes..great to hear that confirmation of the Hospice experience..that it touches so many people is super cool.

All of you..respect!!

Great to read your posts..This has been a long run for us and now coming out of a very distinct bubble these last couple of days. Re approaching the world outside in many ways.

Oh my God. I'm very sorry about the loss of your mother. You had me in tears. You mother sounded like a great woman. What an incredible story. You're a great son and a great person. Peace and love to you and your family and to the spirit and memory of your sweet mom.
